Dr. Kiju Lee is a professor jointly appointed in the Department of Engineering Technology and Industrial Distribution and the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Texas A&M University. She is the Director of the Adaptive Robotics and Technology (ART) Lab, where she leads an interdisciplinary research program focused on swarm robotics, autonomous systems, and novel robotic mechanisms.
Her research explores intelligent coordination of unmanned ground vehicles, advanced sensor fusion with inertial measurement units, and autonomous navigation across complex and dynamic environments such as agricultural fields and flat terrains. Dr. Lee’s recent work extends to mobile platforms, robot operating systems, and multi-agent collaboration, advancing the frontier of adaptive and resilient robotic systems.
Dr. Lee earned her B.S.E. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Chung-Ang University, Seoul, South Korea, and her M.S.E. and Ph.D. degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, Maryland, USA. Her publications span a wide range of topics, including swarm robotics, mobile robot design, 3D printing for robotic prototyping, and human–robot interaction.
